Just updating you on the upcoming COLORS CTF V1.1. Captain Death has just moved in to a new house and so has not been able to do any coding recently. But he is settled now and coding on COLORS CTF V1.1 will begin in the next day or so :)

Dread has delivered to us a brand spanking new COLORS CTF map for your fragging pleasure called CTF Raid Beta2 :)

CTF Raid Beta2 is a smallish industrial style map with 20 spawn points. Dread says he got the idea for the bases from the TFC map push. This map is a welcome addition to the slowly increasing number of maps being made for the COLORS CTF Mod. You can grab this map from here.

Mayhem has created some neat looking blueprints for all of his CTF maps. These are great diagrams that detail the layout of the map, where the team bases are, and all the weapons and items etc. By looking at these you can really get to know his maps and it is especially good for a large map like CTF_Urban. I think this is a great initiative and want to thank Mayhem for putting the time and effort into produces these blueprints.

The zip file contains blueprints for CTF Club Brawl (both floors), CTF Urban and 2 of his upcoming CTF maps Tower Terror CTF and Subway Mayhem CTF. You can downloaod them from here.

Knockdown has released two new maps for COLORS CTF. They are CTF Mars and Knockdown's Q3Arena CTF

CTF Mars is a conversion of his Bagman map Team Mars.
QUOTE: Ever wondered what it would be like to have ganstas on mars? well this is my interpretation

This is a nice looking, straightforward map that gives the feel of a space station on Mars. You can download the maps from here.

Knockdown's Q3Arena CTF is a small CTF map similar in feel to kp_3ctf2.
QUOTE: its sort of a remake of q3ctf1 layout wise (i like the simple layout of that map) but the look and feel is very much my own.. and yes them steps do resemble whoops :P It's very small compared to my normally LARGE maps but the r_speeds kinda suck at the mo!.. workin on it tho ;)

A few people have complained that when they launch into a game of COLORS CTF that all the ingame colours are screwed up.
Well finally we have a solution and it is a simple one. Everyone that I know of that was having the problem had 8 bit textures set to YES in the Visuals menu. So if you are having the same problem simply change the 8 bit textures to NO and that should fix the problem. If it doesn'y please post in our bugs n problems forum.

Had a mad game on the local COLORS CTF server tonight - Labyrinth Kingpin - Mr Damage's CTF v1.0a Server 202.182.69.54:31515 :)
That is until all 13 people left within 3 minutes lol

Hey gang ! I took a break off of work and decided to make a little post. I, just like Evilbunny, am now working for a company modeling....nothing serious just making 3D models for their website and software, but recently I decided to make something for Kingpin. I've decided to move out to Montana and start my own business, which is t open up a club. I then decided to make a blue print of the place and then decided to put it all in Kingpin and just take a look at it and see how it would work. So anyway right now I am still working on it but it will be ready pretty soon.

I'll have some screenshots in a couple of days and will post them here. I'll make two copies of it and make them so that you can go from one to another and steal flags. Pretty cool.

Anyway just thought I'd let ya know what I'm doing. Stick around !

Mayhem is just finishing work on two more COLORS CTF maps which will be included in v1.1.
They are CTF Rooftop Massacre & Subway Mayhem CTF.

CTF_Rooftop_Massacre

This all started with the sky environment.... A building was added, then it grew a little, then it got massive very quickly.., and has taken waaaaaay too long to finish, but now its here, ready and waiting for you in the next CTF release.

Subway_mayhem_ctf

Part of this map comes from a favorite Xatrix sp map of mine: RC1 where you belt the three thugs in the sewer with the pipe to gain control of the 'Jokers" gang... (although, if you played like a sissy and used a gun you would have forked out $500 bucks instead)
I took a small piece of the map, and reworked it and reworked it and added some subway stations, and some more dark, grimy areas, some nasty infectious rats, and.. ahhh, what a frag fest... Hope to see you there...
